Coach Mo Samilton and Chris Staples offer free basketball clinic at HUB Sports Center

(Spokane, WA) – Goodwill is partnering with Mo-Energee to offer a free basketball clinic to Spokane-area youth at HUB Sports Center in Liberty Lake on Saturday, March 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. HUB Sports Center is located at 19619 E Cataldo Ave, Liberty Lake.

Maury Samilton (Coach Mo) and former Harlem Globe Trotter Chris Staples will teach youth basic basketball skills. Volunteer basketball coaches from across the region will assist in small group breakouts.

The clinic is open to youth ages 12-17. Maximum capacity for the clinic is 70 youth. Limited walk-in registration space is available.

Coach Mo played basketball as a reserve guard at Boise State University. He also coached the Phoenix Raptors for the International Basketball League. Coach Mo founded Mo-Energee to encourage, guide, and educate youth to become responsible citizens, demonstrate respect for self, others, and their environment, taking ownership of their personal behaviors, and making contributions in a positive light to their community.

Doors will open to the public at 2:00 for a Slam-Dunk presentation by Chris Staples. Autographs are available afterwards.

The clinic is sponsored by Goodwill’s GoodGuides Youth Mentoring program.
