Post Falls Junior leads for Dignity, Respect for all

Otto Klein, General Manager of the Spokane Indians, greets Chris with a fist bump and congratulations at the Spokane Indians and Goodwill Home Runs for Hope Night on August 30th at Avista Stadium.

Chris is a junior at Post Falls High School and a member of the varsity soccer team.

At his parents urging, Chris signed up for Goodwill's GoodGuides, quickly taking ownership of his time there, attending every meeting, and becoming a leader to the diverse group there. In fact, Chris led a diversity and inclusion meeting with the GoodGuides group earlier this year and is an advocate for creating an environment where people are accepted for who they are instead of how they are labeled.

In addition to playing soccer year round, Chris also works a job at a local restaurant after school. Natalie, Chris's mentor, shares that over the last year, she has seen Chris take more interest in schoolwork and become a stronger leader on campus.

Chris has an aggressive goal of becoming a professional soccer or rugby player. Natalie and the GoodGuides staff say they see a bright future for Chris, where he may even give back to youth wherever he lives with his kindness and leadership.
