Eric is a bright and engaging young man who has lived in Lewiston, Idaho for most of his life. For the past several years, Goodwill’s plan development and service coordination services have helped Eric connect with the community resources he needs to reach his employment and living goals.

Eric lived independently with his fiancée, but after some setbacks, Eric lived with his mother and stepfather. He transitioned to a certified family home, where he remained for over a year.

In May 2015, Eric was able to move into his own apartment. He lived independently with hourly residential habilitation services to help him transition into further independence.

Eric was so successful that he moved back in with his fiancée in June 2016, and they have a civil commitment ceremony planned for November.

Goodwill has helped Eric remain successful and employed in his current employment placement. He receives both community- and center-based developmental therapy services and has not only become more productive, and efficient, but also has increased the quality of his work.

Eric has made significant progress on all of his goals and his level of independence and is looking forward eventually obtaining employment in the community.
