About to lose her apartment, Lori turned to Goodwill’s Housing and Essential Needs program.  After losing her job due to a lack of computer skills, Lori was struggling to make ends meet.

The Housing and Essential Needs program, first and foremost, placed Lori into secure housing. After a referral from her case manager, Lori also enrolled into the Basic Food and Employment Training Program and the Credentials to Careers Program.  Through both programs, Lori was able to get interviews for jobs and work-appropriate clothing.  Then, Lori was referred to the Goodwill WorkSource Computer Lab to receive basic computer training.  She worked hard in the computer lab and thoroughly studied for her Qualfon skills test. Fortunately, her hard work paid off and she passed, making her that much more qualified to be back in the work force.

With the help of Goodwill, Lori was able to find full-time employment and is thrilled to have her independence back. Lori is extremely thankful for her guidance at Goodwill that helped her get back on her feet.
