Fun spring fashion, Goodwill style!

Spring has sprung (or is at least putting forth a valiant effort), and I think it's safe to say we're all cheering it on. With warmer days come cooler clothes.

However, with how completely unpredictable the weather can be in our part of the world, you can find yourself only a few degrees away from peeling off your jacket in the afternoon heat, or wishing you had brought one to fend off the chill. That's why I like the scarf as a springtime accessory as much as a fall or winter one. It's yet another of those items that you can layer on and take off with no hassle, is gender neutral, and an easy way to add a little extra something to an outfit.

Speaking of layers, I was thinking of a floral pattern for this post (yes, I know it's obvious, but after several months of cold, brown winter, who isn't looking forward to flowers?), but I couldn't resist this cream lace patterned sweater over this checkered sports tank. The configuration of the black and pink triangles plays well with the scarf and gives the overall ensemble a bit of pop. This was probably the quickest Goodwill purchase I have ever made; I was in, found the shirts, shorts and purse, and was out in under 15 minutes (if you share my yen for secondhand, you know it's a rare thing when you don't peruse the racks leisurely and repeatedly in one visit). The whole purchase come out to around $10 plus tax. Looking forward to what I find next! Enjoy the sunshine, everyone!

This crochet short sleeve sweater, tank top and scarf were purchased for just $10, plus tax, at Goodwill.
