Joshua lacked work skills as well as work-based communication skills. Struggling with a lack of interpersonal skills, he needed help interacting with coworkers.
Goodwill provided training to Joshua. He learned how to perform different tasks, including some computer and communication skills.
Since coming to Goodwill, Joshua has developed a strong work ethic. He puts out excellent work, performing multilevel tasks independently. He has learned work-related communication and problem-solving skills.
Not only does Joshua greet everyone by name when he arrives at work, but he also asks for help when he needs it.
He is very proud of his work, his newfound technical skills, and his ability to ask for help when he needs it.
According to Joshua’s caregiver, he frequently talks about how much he loves his job at Goodwill. He recounts how excited he is to get his check for the good work that he does.
