Brian came to Supportive Services for Veteran Families with his wife and growing family of three young children with one on the way. They were all living in a friend’s garage in Post Falls. After a sudden eviction, the SSVF program put them in motels to keep them off the streets until they moved into a three-bedroom house in Post Falls. After moving in, Brian found a full-time job as a truck driver, which allows him to drive at night and be at home with his family during the day. SSVF paid for Brian’s Department of Transportation medical card so he could continue to work, building independence for himself and his family.
