If you're anything like me, you wonder what you will do with all those cards that all those lovely people send every Christmas.
For $19.99, I purchased a huge painted picture with a notched frame from the downtown Spokane Goodwill.
I popped the canvas out of the frame and set it aside for a different project. I also took the wire hanger off and stretched it across the back the other way. The painting had been wide, but my project was tall.
Then I took the frame outside and sprayed it with white spray paint. I then sprayed it with a silver sparkle.
After it was painted, it looked like this:
After the paint was dry, I wrapped a string of lights around the frame to create a clothesline effect. I spray painted wooden clothespins in a similar fashion and used those to attach Christmas cards to my string of lights.
Here's the finished product:
There are many ways that you can personalize this project to look great with your Christmas decor. We'd love to see how you complete this project.
